Purchase of first vessel S/S Violetta, financing through owned bank and beginning family’s journey through shipping history.

1988

Captain Alexandrou revives family shipping tradition with the purchase of M/V St. Nicolas.

1990's

Ownership and trading of Family owned and Third-Party owned vessels.

2004

Established Wet Sector presence with the conversion of VLCC to Offshore Blending Platform and management of product tankers.

2010's

Ownership and trading of Family owned and Third-Party owned vessels.

2020

4th Generation taking Alkon into the Future.

Alkon has a long-standing affiliation with crewing agents and recruiters Status Maritime Corp. in Manila, Philippines, and currently employing 2nd and 3rd generation officers and crew who have grown and advanced together with our Company.
